Regional Rail
I am increasingly convinced that the state should make a massive investment in upgrading its regional rail network. The decision is not imminent, but I’m interested in starting to get feedback from my constituents.
Electrifying public transportation
If we could electrify most vehicles and then make all power sources on the grid carbon neutral, we would make the transportation sector (airplanes aside) carbon neutral and much cleaner. How soon could that happen?
Better Bus Update
My overall sense is that the MBTA is moving forward thoughtfully with progressive changes in bus routing based on respectful engagement with the public and a principled analysis of all available data. Board approval of the first round of changes appears likely for this month.
