We are working on legislation to prohibit discrimination based on sexual-orientation or trans identity in higher education admissions.
A Yes vote on Question 3 on the November 6 ballot will approve the legislature’s vote in 2016 to extend full civil rights protections to transgender people.
The approach we have taken is right, simple and consistent with American fundamental values. It will, in a few years, become completely ordinary, as it should be.
The legislature will consider this year legislation to complete the work we started a couple of years ago to provide full legal protection to transgender people. The main unfinished business is to prohibit discrimination in access to public accommodations. I view this legislation as simple and necessary and fully support it. I am a cosponsor and I have long been a supporter of this legislation.
Please support HD 545. We should not allow young teenage boys, who simply believe they are girls, to use the girls room, play and compete on girls sports teams-as girls-and to use the girls locker room.It is not fair and it is not safe.
