The CAC Reps just received this notification from Massport:
“There will be another weekend closure to two runways, 9/27 and 4R/22L, beginning at 10 PM on Friday 4/24 and scheduled to conclude at 2 PM on Sunday 4/26. The work consists of additional repairs to the intersection and rehabilitation for the two runways, which were unable to be completed last year. This will be the final weekend closure for the additional work for this project.”
This will reduce the available runways to two – one of which is 33L so we can expect a busy next few days regardless of wind direction.
