FY25 Budget Priorities Letter to Senate Ways and Means

Dear Chairman Rodrigues,

I greatly appreciate the opportunity to share my budgetary priorities for the FY25 budget.

The following themes are of central importance to me:

  • Increase the total operating and capital transfers to the MBTA.
  • Address the housing crisis by funding longer term housing support and job programs.
  • Preserve increases to the Department of Conservation and Recreation operating budget.
  • Meet commitment to the Student Opportunity Act.
  • Preserve funding for services for returning citizens.
  • Preserve funding for mobile mental health and other alternatives to police response.
