Transportation Reform Enacted

Final passage of a landmark transportation reform bill, with a bipartisan vote of 130 to 25 in the  House today, signals an end to decades of costly balkanization of our transportation infrastructure.  I voted in favor —  nothing so controversial and complex can be perfect, but it is a very good bill.

It’s time to test drivers 80+.

Hello, Will For the good of us all, elders must be tested for driving skills after age 80.  Just imagine the possibility for carnage “down the road” when the huge baby boomer generation hits advanced age.  Yikes! Regards,

Alewife traffic issues

A recently released study offers a depressing finding about cut-through traffic in the neighborhoods near Alewife in Arlington, Belmont and Cambridge:  The traffic does not flow east and west; it flows from everywhere to everywhere.
