Join the 20th Annual Mother’s Day Walk For Peace on May 8

Celebrating the Courage of Community is the theme of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute’s 20th Annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace taking place on Sunday, May 8. The walk begins at Town Field Park at Fields Corner in Dorchester and ends with a peace rally at Boston City Hall. There are multiple ways to participate from walking as an individual, creating a team, and fundraising virtually, to being a sponsor or making a donation. You can find all the details at this link. District Forum on GMOs and GMO Labeling, October 20, 7-9 PM, Watertown

Mark your calendars to attend this GMO Forum hosted by legislators in the 2nd Suffolk and Middlesex District on Tuesday, October 20, 7:00-9:00 PM, Watertown Middle School Auditorium, 68 Waverley Avenue, Watertown. This free public forum features four academic panelists and will provide substantive information on the science, economics, legal and regulatory frameworks, and health/environmental impacts of GMOs.
