Bus Route 77 Community Meetings

Dear MBTA Riders and Interested Parties,

The MBTA invites you to attend community meetings to introduce the Key Bus Route Improvement Program. The project’s goal is to improve overall quality of service for customers on the Key Bus Routes by providing a more reliable, faster service with enhanced bus stop amenities.

Bus Route 77 operates between Arlington Heights and Harvard Square via Arlington Center, Porter Square and Massachusetts Avenue. This route also provides service to important destinations such as Harvard University, Capitol Theatre and Arlington High School. This route provides connections to the Red Line as well as many bus routes including Key Bus Routes 1, 66, 71 and 73 and the following local routes – 62, 67, 68, 69, 72, 74, 75, 76, 78, 79, 80, 83, 86, 87, 96 and 350.

The following meetings will discuss potential improvements to Bus Route 77:

Thursday, June 9, 2011
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Arlington Town Hall, Selectmen Hearing Room
730 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington

Arlington Town Hall can be reached by Bus Routes 77 and 79.

Thursday, June 16, 2011
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
North Cambridge Senior Center
2050 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge

The North Cambridge Senior Center can be reached by Bus Routes 77 and 83 as well as the Red Line’s Porter Square Station.

All are invited to attend these meetings. Project handouts will be available for viewing before the meeting. Please join us to share your ideas. Your input will help create a better bus service for your community!
