I am writing with regard to S900, An Act establishing earned paid sick time. Almost one-third of workers in the Commonwealth are at risk of losing their jobs and the wages their families need if they have to stay home to care for themselves or a sick child. When working families don’t have financial security, our whole economy suffers.
Earned sick time reduces unemployment, upholds productivity in the workplace, and helps keep families strong.
I hope that the Committee will be able to reach a positive agreement on legislation to address the need for earned sick time.
