Every year MassDOT releases a Capital Investment Plan (CIP), which lays out the long term investments that the administration will make in our transportation infrastructure. Last year, being the first year of the new administration MassDOT only released a 1 year CIP for the MBTA and MassDOT as the agencies reassessed the commitments made by the Patrick administration. The new draft CIP for FY17-FY22 is the first 5 year CIP released by the Baker administration and our first look at this administration’s long term vision for our transportation infrastructure. This draft CIP is open for public comment, and there are public hearings are scheduled across the state. For residents of Senator Brownsberger’s district the most convenient hearings will be held in Boston: Monday, May 2, 6:00PM in the McKim building of the Boston Public Library and Wednesday May 4, 11:00AM in Room 428 of the State House. If you cannot attend the hearings you can submit comment by email: masscip@state.ma.us
