This post collects my takeaways from the oversight hearing on the vaccine rollout held on February 25. It includes links to the hearing itself and my Zoom discussion of the hearing.
COVID-19 Vaccine
The Vaccine Rollout
The big picture is that we don’t have enough vaccine and the rollout has been messy. If we had enough vaccine to use all the distribution channels available to us, things would be going quite well.
Vaccine Update
My advice to those eager to be vaccinated is changing. If you are already eligible, try the state’s new website. If you can find someone to help you get there, they can get vaccinated too.
Notes from Vaccine Discussion
Last night we held a zoom discussion on the vaccine rollout. Notes and recording here.
A Dozen Ways to Say No
I checked a dozen locations for COVID-19 vaccination sites reasonably near my senate district and found no available appointments.
How to Get the Vaccine
Eligibility requirements for each of the state’s three phases of vaccine distribution and information about accessing the vaccine.
