The Belmont Gun Buyback is sponsored by the Belmont Police Department, the Belmont Religious Council, The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office and individual Belmont houses of worship.

This year’s gun buy back is part of a five-town coordinated regional initiative. Arlington, Watertown, Cambridge and Somerville are also holding gun buy back events in the month of June as part of the Safer Homes, Safer Community initiative.
