RE: S1637, An Act relative to motor vehicle registration plates
DATE: September 10, 2013
I am writing in support of S1637, An Act relative to motor vehicle registration plates. Eliminating the requirement for a front plate would not only save money as approximately 500,000 fewer plates would be issued each year, but would also save resources (aluminum primarily).
I hope that the Committee can find ways to overcome public safety concerns about this proposal and craft a bill that removes the front plate requirement.
