Redistricting

I think that people of color in Arlington should be in the same districts we have now. Too many districts put all the African Americans into one district, and that shouldn’t happen, now that AFrican Americans are already in several districts. Also if they are put into a district that where almost all of the rest of the people are white, then the people of color are disenvanched.

That’s why I think that we should include people of color to be in the districts in Arlington. We have worked hard to convince people of color to live in Arlington, and so now we have a lot of people of color. They deserve to be in the same distrcits they have been.

I have been living in Arlington for more than 30 years. My daughter grew up in that time. Although I and my husband decided to go live in Cambridge, we quickly found out that it wasn't what we wanted. I love Arlington and will never sell my house, and when I'm gone, my daughter and her husband can come to Arlington (that they really want to do) to live.
