Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation

Cathy and Stan Rezendes in Arlington asked me to pass on the following statement:

As outlined in the Boston Globe article on April 13, 2014, the executive director of PBGC has stated: “Unless Congress acts–more than 1 million people will lose their pension”. Further, “if Congress allows the PBGC to get the money and authority if needs to do its job, then these plans can be preserved. If not the PBGC will run out of money, too. and multiple employer pensioners will eventually get nothing

People (like us) who get their pension from the PBGC need to contact their Senators and Congress person to investigate this matter.

This is a real concern and Cathy and Stan are right in directing those affected to reach their federal elected officials.
