I’m an almost 68 year old man with very low testosterone. My doctor prescribed Androgel which I apply to my skin once a day. I was just informed by my pharmacy that I can no longer get a 3 month supply because Androgen is a “controlled substance.” This is ridiculous. I would not take this drug if I did not need it. What’s more, it’s hard to determine when I am running out because the bottle is opaque and the refill date is not on the bottle – only on the box in which it comes (and which I sometimes forget to save. Why do you folks think you know more than my doctor?
Please look into this idiocy. I am at 32 Locke St 02140. I can be reached at 617 388-0932
Hi Paul,
This is isn’t a legislative policy change, but let me see if we can get a citation for you as to where the 30-day limit is coming from.
Sorry for the hassle.
