YES, I vote for more control .
Charter Schools are the only alternative right now so I am in favor of them.
But we really need to change the System to Merit pay for teachers.
Any Better yet go to a voucher system.

The voucher ideas is not in the mix right now, but merit pay is one of the tools in the tool kit created in the bill for under performing district.
I think it is the intention of the bill to offer a number of alternatives, not just charters. Other alternatives involve control changes, including receivership, for the district schools and also innovation schools.
