It appears that surpluses in FY11 state budget line items have been sufficient to allow for a planned distribution of additional local aid to cities and towns. The plan to make a one-time distribution contingent on the surplus was included in an outside section of the FY12 budget.
The distribution won’t be final until the controller certifies the surplus, but the expected amounts appear below in this table from the Governor’s office.
The new distributions appear in the column titled “$65 Million.”
