Boston Cultural Council Grants

The City of Boston has over $3 million in funding available to arts organizations that offer programming in the city. Applications are due by October 15 at 5 PM.

Organizations that offer programming including music, film and video, folk and traditional art, visual art, theater, dance, humanities, literary arts, performance or time-based arts, social and civic practices, and multi-disciplinary arts can apply.

  • The Boston Cultural Council (BCC) grants are grants of up to $5,000 for general operating support for nonprofit organizations. BCC grants are available to organizations with annual budgets under $2 million.
  • The Reopen Creative Boston funding is available through the American Rescue Plan Act for arts and culture organizations that need financial relief as a result of COVID-19. The City is awarding grants of up to $50,000 through this fund, and organizations that operate cultural facilities will be eligible for an additional grant of up to $50,000. All arts organizations can apply to Reopen Creative Boston regardless of budget size.

If you have any questions about the application, you can schedule a one-on-one meeting with a representative from the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture here.
