  1. We’re headed into the legislative home stretch. Many major bills have advanced a long way through the legislative process and hopefully will reach the Governor’s desk before the end of the session on July 31. We can only do easy, non-controversial bills after that date.

The list above highlights only the bills that have actually made it past one branch. There are other bills that are just shy of that mark and the next few weeks will be very interesting.

Coompare this summary from six months ago — we’re making progress, but much remains.

  2. Will – Please vote no on the convention center expansion, it sounds like a complete boondoggle and is totally unnecessary; I can think of lots of other things to spend that money on, starting with our decrepit roads and bridges.
    Thank you.

  3. This list is current as of yesterday morning but as the pace of lawmaking picks up we’ll see a lot of movement. I’ll update it again soon.

    1. I have updated the list today, but with two formal sessions this week, it won’t stay current for long.

  4. After the marathon sessions of the last few days I have updated the original post to reflect what has been passed. I will update further as the bills become laws and I may add a bill here or there that I have omitted.
